Miami was just two degrees warmer breaking a record for cold set in 1993. In Florida the mercury barely reached 50 degrees at Palm Beach International Airport at 7 a.m. Temperatures were in the twenties as far south as northeast Oklahoma and northern Arkansas, while lows in the 30s were seen as far south as Mobile, Alabama, Slidell, Louisiana, and parts of the western Florida Panhandle. Record lows were set Saturday morning in Springfield, Missouri and tied in St. Snow in Boone, North Carolina: Parts of the mountains of western North Carolina saw as much as 8 inches of snow Saturday as a low-pressure system made its way across the state
